Memorial Service

The memorial services of all First Armored Amphibian Battalion reunions are conducted at the conclusion of these reunions. The outlay has been the same for each reunion, which follows a set pattern with a company representative reading the names of the known deceased of his company. A Marine Corps Color Guard is routinely present at the memorial service and at the conclusion of the service taps is played. The memorial service may be enlarged to include special speeches and prayers.

The 25th reunion memorial service was conducted on Sunday, October 7, 2001. The names of those deceased read represents the known deceased up to this date. Company A, Company B, Company C, Company D, H & S Company

Deceased Marines of the First Armored Amphibian Battalion are listed above according to companies. This listing probably does not list all deceased but list those known to be deceased. Advent of e-mail and Internet capabilities has greatly increased the findings of deceased Marines. We honor those known deceased at our Memorial Services at each reunion and pray for the deceased that remain unknown. God bless them all.
